Ready to assemble plastic model kit. Colors & tools not included.

1/32 scale

The world’s first kit on 1/32 Scale! What are the features of SWS 1/32 Fw 190 A-4?

1. The true appearance of the Fw 190, which has been thoroughly researched and redesigned over a long period of time, is now at its finest. The A-4 type Short nose Type equipped with an air-cooled engine, which is the completed form of the initial silhouette type before the engine mount extension, is thoroughly reproduced on the world’s first 1/32 Scale. Pay attention to the delicately changing cross section from the nose to the side of the fuselage and the exquisite surface composition that covers it.

2. Check out the “BMW 801” engine equipped with Command Gelate, which was a pioneer in engine control for modern aircraft! A mechanism that distributes the load to the firewall and longitudinal members, which are the main structure of the fuselage, by connecting the exhaust pipe to the firewall through a truss-shaped strut and the exhaust pipe that has a collective exhaust at only one place under the nose. The true value of SWS is that you can feel the airflow from the aircraft structure and the engine while assembling the engine rack.

3. The colors and markings include the winter and summer camouflage of the “White 3” aircraft flown by Corporal Karl-Heinz Kordes, which features the green heart emblem of JG54 and the black eagle emblem of I./JG54, and the “White 4” which features the demon of I./JG1’s squadron marking.

The true appearance of the Fw 190, a masterpiece of WWII nicknamed the Wrger, is here at its finest.

The Fw 190 is the main single-seat fighter of the Luftwaffe during World War II, developed under the design philosophy of Dr. Kurt Tank, who said that a fighter should be a warhorse, not a racehorse. Among them, the A-4 type is the completed form of the initial silhouette type before the extension of the engine mount.
Dr. Tank addressed the disadvantages of air-cooled engines, which originally have a large frontal projected area and high air resistance, by narrowing the diameter of the cowling to the limit and mounting an oil cooler or oil tank in front of the engine to reduce the projected area. Avoid with. Furthermore, the performance of the high-output air-cooled engine was maximized by increasing speed with the thrust of a single exhaust pipe. Please pay attention to the exquisite surface structure that connects the delicately changing nose to the side of the fuselage, hidden in the overall form of a simple and sturdy German aircraft.

What is the “BMW 801” engine equipped with command gelate, which was a pioneer in engine control for modern aircraft?

Instead of a liquid-cooled engine that is weak, delicate to handle, and prone to breakdowns, Dr. Tank is particular about a strong air-cooled engine with high horsepower, and uses the BMW 801 air-cooled double-row 14-cylinder engine.
SWS kit reproduces in detail not only the push-pull rods and baffle plates, but also the comprehensive adjustment device called “Command Gelate”. Also pay attention to the exhaust pipe, which has a collective exhaust in only one place at the bottom of the nose. The engine rack is connected to the firewall through a truss-shaped support, which distributes the load to the firewall and stringers, which are the main fuselage structures. You can also feel the true value of SWS. The method of mounting the machine gun on the top of the nose and the shape of the propeller blades, which are the lifeblood of a reciprocating aircraft, are also impeccable.

The best part of SWS is being able to fully enjoy the camouflage patterns that differ depending on the front and season, and the historical background.

The colors and markings include the winter and summer camouflage of the “White 3” aircraft flown by Corporal Karl-Heinz Kordes, which is characterized by the green heart and black eagle emblems of JG54 and I./JG54, respectively, as well as “White 4” featuring the demon squadron marking of I./JG1.
I./JG54, which was active around Leningrad/Gulf of Finland in early 1943, deployed Fw 190 in February 1943. From February to March 1943, it was equipped with winter camouflage and deployed near Leningrad. The unit then moved south, eventually taking part in the Battle of Kursk (Russia) in the summer of 1943. It is believed that the white camouflage was removed around that time and used as summer camouflage.
At SWS, we have thoroughly recreated the Fw 190, which has a sturdy and wide main landing gear and has contributed to its success in the rough terrain of Russia, based on interviews with actual aircraft. The real thrill of SWS is that while assembling a kit, you can think about its design philosophy and historical background.
